Ingredients

5 cups chicken stock

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 medium russet potatos, sliced and quartered 1/4 inch

2 cups chopped kale

1 pound spicy Italian sausage, links

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Combine the stock and cream in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the potato and the kale.
  3. Grill the Italian sausage until cooked through. Cool and slice about 1/2 inch thick. Add to the soup.
  4. Add the salt and red pepper flakes and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
