Ingredients

1 (26 ounce) bag frozen hash browns, optional: with peppers and onions

2 cups shredded Colby cheese

¼ cup minced onion

1 cup milk

½ cup beef broth

2 tablespoons butter, melted, divided

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 Degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, cheese, and onion.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the milk, beef broth, half of the melted butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix to blend the pour over the hash brown mixture.
  4. Coat a 9x13 glass baking dish with cooking spray. Pour the hash brown mixture into the prepared dish.
  5. Bake in the oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until the top of the hash browns are bubbly and brown.
