Comments: This is a great recipe to add chicken, shrimp or scallops too!

Ingredients

1 pound fettuccine noodles, cooked according to package instructions

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup chopped green onions, white and tender green parts

2 teaspoons minced garlic (4 cloves)

2 cups half and half

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons cornstarch (if needed)

 

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over med-high heat. Stir in garlic and onions and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Pour in the half and half and reduce to med-low. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. DON’T BOIL. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Continue stirring another minute. If sauce is too thin whisk in the cornstarch. Thicken to desired consistency.
  3. Toss the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.
