Comments: This is a great recipe to add chicken, shrimp or scallops too!Ingredients
1 pound fettuccine noodles, cooked according to package instructions
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped green onions, white and tender green parts
2 teaspoons minced garlic (4 cloves)
2 cups half and half
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons cornstarch (if needed)
Directions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over med-high heat. Stir in garlic and onions and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the half and half and reduce to med-low. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. DON’T BOIL. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Continue stirring another minute. If sauce is too thin whisk in the cornstarch. Thicken to desired consistency.
- Toss the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.
