Cinnamon Cake

¾ cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
2 ½ all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
½ cup brown sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease one 10 inch Bundt pan.
- In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until well blended.
- Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
- Add in the sour cream and the vanilla and beat well.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Add a little at a time to the butter mixture, blending well.
- In a small bowl, blend together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the batter, then cover with the remaining cake batter.
- Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. Lower the temperature to 350 degrees and bake for an additional 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before putting on a platter.
