Chicken Penne PastaReport Violation
1 pound penne pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 large boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup dry white wine
1 can chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water, according to package instructions. Drain.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the garlic and chicken and sauté until chicken is just cooked through, about 5 minutes. Transfer chicken to a bowl with a slotted spoon. Add wine, broth and cream to skillet and boil until sauce thickens slightly, about 8 minutes. Taste and add salt and pepper to your liking. Add the cheese, basil, pasta and chicken and toss together until coated evenly and serve.
