BBQ Short Ribs

Ingredients

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

4 pounds beef short ribs

1/4 cup butter

1 large onion, chopped

1, 1/2 cups beef broth

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup chili sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup worcestershire sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons chili powder

Directions

  1. In a resealable plasic bag combine the flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Add the ribs in batches and shake to coat. In a large skillet, heat the butter and brown the ribs on all sides, about 2 minutes per side. Be careful not to over crowd, you may have to do this in batches.
  2. Transfer the ribs to a slow cooker. In the skillet, add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over the ribs in the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours, until meat is tender.
